This exercise in particular focuses on motivations, your motivations.
The aim of this exercise is to provide you with the means to identify and reflect on what factors or influences you are motivated by, (both at work and in their personal lives). This exercise can be undertaken on its own or as part of a holistic exercise in self-awareness alongside the Values, Balance, and Strengths exercises.
Based on the Self Determination Theory model, this exercise uses several predetermined statements which you grade using a scale of accuracy (i.e. 1=not accurate, 5=extremely accurate). Once you have completed this exercise, you will be able to embark on future work and projects with a clearer understanding of your motivating factors which in turn gives you a greater chance of successfully attaining your goals.
